Hi, I’m Shannon — the owner and founder of Avery Oasis Headspa. I’m a mom of four, an Army wife of 20 years, and I married my high school boyfriend 24 years ago. Over the years, our family has lived in 8 different states as well as Okinawa, Japan and Germany, which taught me how important it is to create comfort, peace, and a sense of home wherever you are.
When I’m not in the spa, you’ll probably find me binge-watching a good TV show, getting into pajamas the second I walk through the door, or spending time with our 4 dogs and growing snake family.
Avery Oasis was created from my love for helping women slow down, feel cared for, and finally take a moment for themselves in the middle of busy everyday life.
Shannon began her journey in the beauty industry in 2001 when she attended cosmetology school, becoming licensed in 2002. After several years behind the chair as a stylist, she transitioned into salon management before relocating overseas as part of military life.
After returning to the United States, Shannon pursued esthetics and combined her years of beauty industry experience with a passion for relaxation, scalp health, and intentional self-care to create Avery Oasis Headspa.
Today, she specializes in luxury headspa treatments and sensory-focused experiences designed to help women relax, restore, and reconnect with themselves while supporting healthy scalp and hair wellness.

Hi, I’m Skye —at Avery Oasis Headspa. Originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, I made the move to North Carolina to be closer to family after constantly visiting and never wanting to leave.
Outside of the salon, I love anything adventurous and creative. Whether it’s driving with music turned all the way up, working toward my motorcycle license, drawing, or trying something fun and exciting, I’m always looking for ways to enjoy life and express creativity.
At Avery Oasis, I love creating relaxing experiences that help women feel confident, refreshed, and taken care of from the moment they lay down.
Skye began her beauty industry journey while still in high school through a cosmetology trade program, starting in 2021 and earning her cosmetology license in 2023. During her training, she was offered a position at Great Clips, where she has continued building hands-on experience and growing her skills behind the chair for the past three years.
With a passion for both hair and client experience, Skye focuses on creating services that are not only beautiful, but relaxing and welcoming as well. At Avery Oasis, she combines her cosmetology background with the calming, intentional atmosphere of the spa to help clients leave feeling refreshed, confident, and cared for.
